Pussy Riot

Ready to riot.

Is the Russian govt totally leotarded or what? The news that 3 members of Pussy Riot have been sentenced to jail for two years for "hoolignaism and religious hatred" totally grosses me out! Ew!

Time for some pussy fashion to cheer us all up!

I really dig the cat enthusiasm of Pretty Snake by JAS

This Blog is Getting Worse

I know I know, you don't gotta TELL me. What, I have like fashion apathy this summer or something. Its not entirely my fault; its too early to write about fall and Lady Gaga has been dressing like a weird old label whore lady with a purse dog..... I don't have a lot to work with here people!!!!!

Whatever....I like you better as a metal slut.

I guess this is kinda cool though...

Oh gosh, I dunno, maybe you should just look at these pictures of Raja and Sharon, I'm going to the beach.

William invented the term "Race Chaser" to describe people who are out to fuck Drag Race contestants, "like a Starfucker only sadder". But what do you call your drunk friend who makes out with Sharon's brother for 40 minutes and then horrifyingly exclaims "I did that for you!".....I call her Alexis.

Jeremy Kost is rad; look him up!
Raja serving some James St.James realness.
I am really horrible at giving photo credits, but I made a point to write this down: photo by Traver Rains (omg is that right?; I can barely read my own handwriting.)
My crush is strait but I think its cute to see him kiss a dude....is this some like fag hag curse? I dunno, its just so lame when strait guys are like "thats faggot shit... I can't like tell if that guy is hot. BUH." Fucking grow a pair and make out with a dude already fucking strait boys, gawd.

Why Can't I Draw Like Katie Gallagher?

Katie Gallagher is so adorable. She is like a real life Jenny Humphrey but without all the Upper East Side drama! Her fashion illustration is so good it kills me. I'm still honing my illustration skills and his girl has given me a lot of ideas about rendering black, something I was doing so badly a few months ago I am not even showing you....instead take a look at these lovelies.

In a graveyard with bats?
CATS!

Snow astronauts?

Amazing rite!? So it should come as no surprise that this girl dresses the likes of Daphne Guinness and Gaga, ya heard? This bitch is an artist. Read this quote from Wikipedia:

“Everything I make starts with my paintings, which I’ve done every season prior to construction. I love to try to re-create a three-dimensional version of whatever I've drawn.....I normally create a scene, a narrative, or sometimes a whole universe that I would be interested in making a reality, and then I fill these worlds with people. …The people just happen to be wearing what's appropriate to their surroundings and ideas. Clothes aren't really at the center of my interests; the people that wear them and their ideals are.”

UGH, I fucking love her!

Daphne's Epic Auction

So I'm assuming my invitation got lost in the mail, right Daphne? Its too bad, I really would have enjoyed trying to outbid Mother on some insane shoes. Despite my absence, the auction was a great success; Daphne auctioned off dozens of rad clothes and shoes and ended up raking in over $744,000 to benefit the Isabella Blow Foundation! The foundation supports both emerging designers in the UK and research into mental health and depression. Now that's what I call philanthropy realness!

Shoe Freak

Much like Ice T's wifey Coco, I have been a bit of a shoe freak lately.

Blame Lady Gaga and Jeffrey Campbell all you want, but this shit is getting real.

Oops, I bought these!

I would have bought these if they really came with skulls. Get it together!

Solestruck keeps toying with me and saying these Shadow Studs are coming back in this month.

Can I get in on this Rodarte/Nicholas Kirkwood collab please?

The Rodarte Shoes for Fall are pretty sweet too.

There are so many more pics that I am not even going to put on here because I'm hungry and I need to soak my sore-ass feet in some Epsom salts. Just go here :

Fashion Don'ts? I Beg To Differ

So I was reading some things on the conservative and fussy Styleblazer.com. TMZ led me to this website, thanks TMZ! The first thing I read about was women who dress too young for their age (naturally I was curious about this because I am 29 and dress like a trendy 19 yr old). THEN I read this article about style "don'ts" and some of the pics were amazing!

Faux Pas: Tights as Pants.

Whatever, Lindsay Lohan is so hammered, she does NOT CARE if you can see her Brazillian!

Faux Pas: Sloppy, Slouchy Clothes

In regards to the amazing pic of MK (my hero) on the right: Hello, dressing like a homeless person when you are a billionaire is brilliant; that way you are way less likely to get mugged! As for the pic of A.O. on the left: This is more college student meets college professor meets $7,000 handbag. The only thing sloppy about it is that she needs to hem her pants!

Faux Pas: Impractical Shoes

Dear Snooty Bitch, Calling them impractical shoes just goes to show that you suck at wearing cool shoes. They are hella practical if your goals in life are looking crazy, being real tall, and drawing attention to yourself. Anyways, Mother is profoundly good at wearing these shoes; she was bound to eat it eventually. The woman is a warrior; a true shoe crusader!

In conclusion, style "don'ts" are tight. How do you expect to have a fashion moment if you are not freaking people out?

Sharon and Alaska: Easter realness

So next time you get dressed, remember the words of glamorous drag queen and Satan's secretary, Sharon Needles: "When in doubt, freak 'em out!"

Woah, Biebs on the cover of V?

When my V mag came in the mail yesterday and I saw Biebs was on the cover I screamed, and it was not the kind of scream that would come from a infatuated tween Bielieber. It was more like the kind of scream that would happen if Butthead walked in on Beavis taking a dump. "UUUUHhhhhhhhhhhh!"

=

I was like what the fuck, Biebs in V? Thats Gaga's territory! And we all know how he feels about her. "Its like I came out an egg, its art, buuuuhhhhhh" (to paraphrase Biebs reaction to Gaga's Grammys egg hatchery). Whatever Biebs you brought your pet baby snake to the Grammys, you eccentric little teen. "This snake is a baby, baby, baby, oooohhhhhhhhh!" Sorry, I couldn't help myself!

So if you are freaked out by this magazine cover, don't worry, its a really good issue. Nina Hagen is in there and Marilyn Manson and Ke$ha! And Gaga of course has her regular fashion column. If you're still upset, just do what I did and pretend Biebs is a teen version of Shane from the L-Word!

My fave part of this issue so far was the fashion illustrations from Gaga's column. Especially the one Karl Lagerfeld did for the Chanel gown she wore to the opening of her Christmas Workshoppe at Barneys.

Avec Nicolas....

Werk mami...

Shes epic.

Karl's good at drawing.

Besties?

Karl also had some kind words for Lady G:

"Gaga gives the world her music and her talent, but the thing I like most is that she fights against boredom and banality. She also puts forth an ever changing, inspiring, and strong image--an image beyond fashion. She is an extreme concentrate of 'zeit-geist', freeing us from the heavy boredom of publicly displayed political correctness by being herself more than politically correct. Something in today's world would be missed if there was no Lady Gaga because Gaga is a Lady."

Awwwww....Karl, I was kinda miffed at you last week, but I guess you've redeemed yourself. Mwah!

Lovely and Inspiring

The time has come to get back to work developing my collection for Fall 2012. I'm excited and a little freaked out. This whole week I've been trying to get back to work but I keep getting side tracked by my desire to bake a bunch of cookies and my new addiction to the amazing LOGO show A-List New York. "He SMELLED like FUNYUNS and BROCCOLI." I love you Ryan Nickulas.

Anyway, as you can see I am in quite the procrastination conundrum.

Maybe some inspirational pics will help.

Awwww....fishie! Don't worry, despite their menacing appearance, Abyssal Animals don't want to eat your face. They just want to snuggle you and snack on the death confetti of leftover flesh chunks that sift down to their zone.
How am I going to take waterproof polyester and make it look like these hot leather pants.....only time will tell....
Dude, these Alexander McQueen pants are kinda ugly, but I am still inspired by them. For some reason they just scream "commuter cycling apparel" to me.
A modern take on the 40's. A soft knit makes everything so much nicer.
Some military/40's/trenchcoat action.
I am completely obsessed with that waistband.
Pointy party.
Angular action.
Nice Limp Wrist shirt Ryan Gosling. I'm glad that you're kinda punk and comfortable with your sexuality!
A motorcycle jacket inspired Burberry trench....so good.
